Maggie C. Belton, D.O. joined Medical Associates of Southwest Virginia in the summer of 2012. She joined Dr. Beato in ownership of the practice in 2019. Dr. Belton loves private practice and has the benefit or working with a great staff. Dr. Belton specializes in the prevention, treatment, and diagnosis of diseases in adolescent and adult patients. She focuses on accessible comprehensive care over time for most ages and life stages. She treats a broad range of preventive care; women’s health, mental health, acute illness, and chronic disease management.

Dr. Belton is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and received her medical degree from the Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Virginia. She completed her Family Medicine residency at The Washington Hospital Family Practice, Washington, Pennsylvania. Dr. Belton is board certified by the American Osteopathic Association. Dr. Belton is actively involved in teaching resident physicians.

Dr. Belton is married with three daughters. She loves spending time with her family. Outside of the office she enjoys outdoor activities, traveling, and watching her kids play sports.
