Tony Ramsey was born and raised in Radford, Va and has continued to live in the New River Valley throughout his career. He first entered healthcare as an orderly in 1991 at Radford Community Hospital and later at Montgomery Regional Hospital. Tony became a Registered Nurse in 1997. At Montgomery, he gained OR, critical care and emergency nursing experience. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing in 2001. He then earned a master's degree and became a nurse practitioner in 2003. Tony went on to earn a PhD in Nursing from West Virginia University in 2011. 

Tony's career as a nurse practitioner has been primarily focused on family care with additional experience gained in psychiatric and addiction treatment. He enjoys caring for patients of all ages with both acute illness and chronic diseases. Tony thrives on developing lasting relationships with patients and their family members to improve the quality of life for individuals at any stage of life. 

Tony resides in Christiansburg, Va with his wife who is a NICU clinical nurse specialist. In his spare time, Tony enjoys spending time with family, and he thoroughly enjoys woodworking and carpentry work.
